Ohio woman gored, tossed 10 feet after approaching bison in Yellowstone National Park

• An Ohio woman was left injured after a visit earlier this week to Yellowstone National Park, where she was gored and then tossed 10 feet into the air by a bison.
• The 25-year-old, who is from Grove City, approached the animal on Monday as it milled about near a boardwalk stretching across Black Sand Basin, about two miles northwest of Old Faithful.
• Officials said she was within 10 feet of the bovine when it attacked.
• Park emergency medical providers responded to the scene almost immediately, and the woman was transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with a puncture wound, among other injuries.
