The Rice Owls baseball team is the interscholastic baseball team representing Rice University in Houston, Texas, United States. The Owls have appeared often in the NCAA Tournament since the tenure of head coach Wayne Graham began in 1992. The program has participated in every tournament since 1995 and won the national championship in 2003, the first national championship for Rice athletics in any team sport.
The Charlotte 49ers baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. The team is a member of Conference USA, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. Charlotte's first baseball team was fielded in 1979. The team plays its home games at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The 49ers are coached by Robert Woodard.
