Maple Leafs GM, coach OK despite 1st-round flop

Toronto Maple Leafs president Brendan Shanahan said that general manager Kyle Dubas and coach Sheldon Keefe will return next season despite yet another first-round playoff exit for the team.
Toronto has failed to advance out of the first round in six straight postseasons, hasn't won a playoff series since 2004 and is seeking its first Stanley Cup since 1967.
Shanahan said that he looks forward to "getting to work with Kyle and Sheldon for next season."
"As we look forward to next year, and getting to work towards next year, I think it's important to state that I see both of them as being extremely important in getting us to the next level so that when we do approach next year, and we do come back, that we are ready to take that next step."
