• Mars Wrigley announced it was recalling several types of Skittles, Starbursts and Life Savers candies over concerns of metal contamination.
• The voluntary recall was announced by the company and then shared by the Food and Drug Administration late last week.
• The recall affects 13 varieties of Skittles Gummies, Starburst Gummies and Life Savers Gummies between 3.5 ounces and 12 ounces that may have a thin metal strand embedded in the candies or loose in the bag.
